Westerdale Elite

From Vampire Stew to Kraken Soup!
In a realy condensed version

Player Characters involved:Aaren Revind, Mordecai Bloodmist, Phatror Neoon, Roland Fellwood, Virkul Aeril and Makaria Kningtar.

The party (minus Roland) is standing puzzled in the main hall of the Riatvin Guild hall, the party gets bombed by the daughters of Umberlee – people died and it was really intense!

Fighting them back, the party find they can count themselves lucky for having survived the attack of one of the Sisters of Pain, namely Evelyn Pain.

Their leads directs them to travel to Saradush, but only after Makaria manages to calm down a rioting mob that was about to tear the city apart.

Well on their way the see signs of battle in an abandoned half-ogre village.

Late on their second day of travel they arrive in Saradush. Makaria makes contact with the White Twins and learns from Lisa Fellwood that her brother Roland Fellwood is a prisoner in the house of Cicero Gwerm, the major of Saradush. Lisa also confess to being part of the Daughters of Umberlee, and tells that Cicero Gwerm is working closely with them and the Sisters of Pain.

Early the next day the party prepares to infiltrate the Gwerm mansion, rescue their colleague, recover any intelligence on the designs of Umberlee and ,if possible, disrupt their operation.

The plan was a grand success!
Roland was rescued, Cicero was killed, and the party met Phatror in Cicero’—s study.
Business however quickly soured as Cicero’s second son Vieri Gwerm (AKA Vieri Valtiere) showed up with half of the NFO soldiers in Saradush.
The party only barely escaped due to the benevolence of a newly freed Valara Pain.(Courtesy of Phatror) Makaria losing one of the priceless knife-artifacts in the process. The last the party saw before being dumped magically in their inn was Viari Gwerm lying on the floor suffering from increasingly common affliction known as crosbowbolt in the eye, and Valara Pain waving her hands around being magical.

Back in their inn, the party notices several wanted posters with their description, only Roland is singled out by name. They ready their carriage and prepare to make a hasty exit. Right before they crack the whip however, Phatror, Tali and Jarvan III, beg lift. Tali currently recovering from Eldritch Burn. They manage to leave the city without further incidents, even passing a patrol outside the city.

They make their way towards Mintar, and in the long run, The Beastlands.
On their way there they meet Lisa Fellwood, who is not going to tag along.
They secure passage on one of the famous Zeppelins of the Neo Faerunian Order, a dawnboat.

On this Zeppelin, also known as Boat 68, the party gets tricked into giving up the remaining knife-artifact, Aaren being no match for the charms of Valara Pain.
Hardened by their setback, the party’s resolve hardens further.
The encounter left Phatror with the Eldritch Burn. Choosing the high risk, high reward path. He refuses to be cured. Chaining himself, his sister and her new boyfriend Mordecai to his sickbed. Meaning they all get to know each other quite well.

Next stop: Thindar on the Isle of Samarach!

Don't rat me out!
The party convenes

Aaren Revind, Vitari Eurid, Roland Fellwood and Mordecai Bloodmist

The party is approached while sitting in the mess hall by what appears to be an older version of the local chapter master Twitch.
The young Twitch, successfully hides from the rat crazy older rat by persuading the party to follow the old rat, who happens to have a small problem.

The problem the old rat is having is a cellar full of loose rats, some larger than others, other even larger than the some and the others combined. The rats, however large, proves to be no match for a frustrated aasimar paladin’s Thunderclap. Unfortunately, the old rat was devastated to learn that all the rats had been more or less been killed as he was in the middle of cloning himself. Presumably, all the pre-death rats was his offsprings in that regard.

The next day
The party, except for the dodgy human, has to attend a Public Relations 101 course before they can undertake the journey to retrieve the “cheese”. What the “cheese” is is not divulged, but most agree that not everything is smelling just right.

Just in time to get their Acquisitions inc. stickers and sashes they receive word that Aaren is involved into some business that is quickly turning a bad way. Rushing to the scene, the house of an elf artisan, they spot a dhampir from the Shadow Edge organisation enter the house.

Vintari having been a part of that gang, but left them due to moral conflicts, rushes in to take the side of whomever is against them.
The encounter ends with a pile of ash that used to be able to talk and suck blood, two thugs, a semi-conscious elf woman and a party that ponders the consequences of killing Lord Gwerm the Vampire Lords relative…

Kipp's Story: The Home I Left

eating breakfast with family, asked to help carry stuff to town to sell

accidentally break two legs on one of mom’s tables ( Rita )

helped dad fix the table, though i did a much better job than him ( Gido )

on trip to town, i spot a mysterious figure, and wave to him, he waves back

before town, i sneak away from mom to go gamble on the Fight Club

at the fight club i see the new forrester Carl Lerrix prepping for a fight, I also see my mentor Bradford Fistonfire in the arena, also preparing for a fight.

I challange my mentor, but he doesnt respond, so i attack. He gracefully tosses me to the side, and tells me not to interfere.

“Fine, whatever” I think, and look for people to gamble with, i need the money. No one wants to gamble, and the fight soon starts.

At first, all goes well, my mentor takes it easy fighting for fun, using a little fire. His opponent Carl apparently uses a form of Ice channeling. He goes invisible, something that annoys my mentor, I yell out “ROUNDHOUSE!”. Listening to my my mentor jumps and spins arround, and connects squarly with Carl’s face. But this time, he fades away into the ground. My mentor is visably pissed now, and punches the ground penetrating the surface and channeling fire, he causes steam to errupt from the ground, and an earthquake to start.

Too focused on the ground, Bradford doesnt notice Carl appear behind him with ice flails in his hands. I try to tempt the crowd to call cheater, but no one does, so I call forth vines on Carl. The vines dont entangle him but the growth does wake up Bradford, who manages to dodge away from the attack. Fueled by rage he dons flaming wings and does a flying kick at Carl, knocking him out.

Before Carl “dies” he shoots out a massive circle of ice spikes, thinking quickly me and Bradford manage to melt parts of the ice before it hits us.

After the fight i notice the ice was far from natural, and i try to cheer up Bradford by sparring with him.

It gets late (really late) so I rush to town, stopping only to heal up my scratches and bruises from fighting Bradford. In town i get a note from my mom telling me to sleep in the Inn, she will meet me in the morning. I go to the Inn, I wave at the mysterious figure again then meet The Orc, asking his friends how much the fighter’s guild pays, he gets annoyed and throws me out, i try burn his nose but fail.
Being pissed from being grabbed and carried, i manage to change into a wolf pup and escape his grasp, he closes the Inn door on me just as i yell “Your mother was an elf!”

In wolf form and nowhere to sleep, i descide to track down Bradford

A short while later i find him bathing in the river, he teaches me to controll my fire a little more and we eat together, then we make camp and sleep.

The next morning I do some training in the river with Bradford before leaving to town. In the Inn i see a strange figure in the corner, picking at his berries. I go up and meet him, he introduces himself to me as Sindri Kin, a member of Acquisitions Inc. and accidently blurts out that Carl was a Wraith and that Bradford might be a dragon thingy or something. He pays me off with 2 gold coins and leaves. On the way out he obviously knows my mother, but she ignores him.

I talk to mom a little, and i accidently blurt out things i shouldnt, and she gets a little mad. I hear some ruckus outside and see what is happening, some people are yelling at my father. I rush outside and see them pointing at the traders and the inn, presuming they mean my mother, i warn her to stay inside, then run out to beat them up.

They were apparently looking for me, but anyways i entangle one, scare off two of them. After running along a wall i kick the last in the head and yell “no one points like that at my father!”

However things dont go as i was hoping and my father gets (really) pissed at my martial skills (even though i also used vines as well)

Soon Sindri comes breaks up the fight, calming everyone and putting my father to sleep. He wants to “hire” me, and take me away, my mother tells me to do as he says.

Welcome to your campaign!
A blog for your campaign

Wondering how to get started? Here are a few tips:

1. Invite your players

Invite them with either their email address or their Obsidian Portal username.

2. Edit your home page

Make a few changes to the home page and give people an idea of what your campaign is about. That will let people know you’re serious and not just playing with the system.

3. Choose a theme

If you want to set a specific mood for your campaign, we have several backgrounds to choose from. Accentuate it by creating a top banner image.

4. Create some NPCs

Characters form the core of every campaign, so take a few minutes to list out the major NPCs in your campaign.

A quick tip: The “+” icon in the top right of every section is how to add a new item, whether it’s a new character or adventure log post, or anything else.

5. Write your first Adventure Log post

The adventure log is where you list the sessions and adventures your party has been on, but for now, we suggest doing a very light “story so far” post. Just give a brief overview of what the party has done up to this point. After each future session, create a new post detailing that night’s adventures.

One final tip: Don’t stress about making your Obsidian Portal campaign look perfect. Instead, just make it work for you and your group. If everyone is having fun, then you’re using Obsidian Portal exactly as it was designed, even if your adventure log isn’t always up to date or your characters don’t all have portrait pictures.

That’s it! The rest is up to your and your players.
